شركة باتا فليما البناء السعودية تأسست كشركة استثمارية مشتركة بين كل من :-‏ شركة باتا فليما أورينت باسفيك ومقرها جاكرتا – اندونيسيا ويمثلها المهندس / ‏مصطفي كمال مدير الشركة.‏ ومؤسسة البناء للتجارة والمقاولات السعودية ومقرها جدة المملكة العربية السعودية ‏ويمثلها السيد / وليد عبد المجيد خجا مدير عام المؤسسة.‏ نشأت فكرة الاستثمار في مجال الطاقة والمنتجات البترولية في اندونيسيا في عام ‏‏1997م وذلك بعد الدراسات الأولية ونتيجة للطلب المتزايد علي المنتجات البترولية ‏عالمياً وكذلك الزيادة في استهلاك الطاقة في كل من اندونيسيا والصين نتيجة لما ‏تتمتعان به من مساحات شاسعة وكثافة سكانية عالية , إذ أن عدد سكان اندونيسيا ‏يقارب 270 مليون نسمة والصين ما يعادل واحد مليار نسمة وذا يعني استهلاك أكثر ‏للمنتجات البترولية والطاقة مما يتيح للمستثمر فرصة استثمارية طويلة الأجل مع ‏توفر السوق المستهلك للمنتج ,وحيث أن اندونيسيا عضو في منظمة الأوبك وتشجيعاً ‏منها للتطور والاستثمار قامت الحكومة بمنح تسهيلات وحوافز مشجعة وإعفاءات ‏ضريبية تشجيعاً ودعماً للمستثمر الأجنبي.‏
